ScienceCounts Civic Science FellowScienceCounts, a non-profit organization committed to increasing Americans’ support for science is seeking a highly motivated individual to help build stronger connections between marginalized communities and public science. The ScienceCounts Civic Science Fellow for Advancing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Public Engagement will help to design, implement, and evaluate a novel engagement program involving an underrepresented and/or marginalize community. The ScienceCounts Civic Science Fellowship provides a unique opportunity to work closely with leaders in the aeras of science engagement research and community practice. The Fellow will gain valuable experience and knowledge in wide range of areas such as social science research, group facilitation, project design and management, and social impact evaluation and reporting. This Fellowship, which is supported by the Science in Society Funders Collaborative, including the Rita Allen Foundation, Burroughs Welcome Fund, Kavli Foundation, Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation and David and Lucile Packard Foundation, is well-suited for an entrepreneurial individual wanting to help to narrow the divide between science and society. SalaryThe ScienceCounts Civic Science Fellow for Advancing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Public Engagement is an 18-month position with an annual salary of $80,000 - $90,000 annually plus benefits.
